We know that sending your little ones to us gives you some anxiety,” Martin Primary principal Tracey Bell told parents gathered at Thursday night’s Kickoff to Kindergarten.

She and her staff then took care to provide information meant to lessen those feelings. They covered registration details for the countywide sign up date of March 19, what they and their child can expect regarding kindergarten life, assessments, wellness, and safety.

Parents were then reunited with children who had been enjoying supervised play in the gym for classroom tours.
Countywide Pre-K and Kindergarten registration is set for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 19 at Dresden Elementary, Greenfield School, Gleason School, Sharon School and Martin Primary.

Pre-K is available for any child who will be 4 years old before August 15, 2020. However, acceptance is determined on income eligibility set by the Department of Health and Human Services. The limit is 20 per Pre-K classroom. Applications are numbered as they are received.
