Weakley County Schools Digital Accessibility Statement
Weakley County Schools (WCS) is committed to ensuring that our digital content — including our website, mobile-friendly resources, and other online platforms — is accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities. We are actively working to identify and remove barriers that may prevent full access to our digital content for all students, families, staff, and community members.
Reporting an Accessibility Issue
If you encounter a barrier to accessing information, features, or content on any WCS digital platform, please let us know. We want to hear from you.

When reporting an issue, please include, if possible:

A description of the problem you experienced
The assistive technology or browser you were using, if applicable
Your contact information, so we can follow up
Our Response Process
WCS takes accessibility concerns seriously and responds promptly. Upon receiving a report, we will:
Acknowledge your report — we will reach out to let you know that we've received your report and will begin determining the appropriate actions, as well as communicate with you on the best way to receive the information you are seeking in the meantime.
Investigate the issue — our team will review the reported content or feature to confirm the barrier and determine the appropriate fix.
Remediate the issue — we will correct the content or feature as quickly as possible. Timelines vary depending on the complexity of the fix, and we will keep you informed of our progress.
Follow up with you — once the issue is resolved, we will confirm the fix and, if needed, ask you to verify that the barrier has been removed.
While a reported issue is being remediated, WCS will work with you to provide the information or service you need through an alternative, accessible method. This may include:
Providing the requested content in an alternative format (such as a plain-text document, a phone call, or a printed copy)
Reading or explaining content directly to you over the phone or in person
Directing you to a staff member who can assist you with the specific need
Any other reasonable accommodation appropriate to the situation
Our goal is that you are never left without access to the information or service you need while a permanent fix is underway.
Third-Party Content
WCS websites may link to or include content hosted by third parties (such as learning platforms, payment portals, or embedded tools). While we select vendors with accessibility in mind, we do not control the accessibility of third-party content. If you experience a barrier on a third-party platform linked from a WCS site, please still reach out to us — we will do what we can to assist or connect you with the appropriate vendor.
Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. WCS regularly reviews our digital platforms, trains staff on accessible content creation, and updates our practices as standards and technology evolve.
