School Board
Boards are instruments of the state, and members of the Board are state officers representing local citizens and the state in the management of the public schools.
The governing body shall be the Board of Education, serving residents within the boundaries of the school system and non-residents under conditions specified by state law and the Board. All powers of the Board lie in its action as a group; therefore, individual board members exercise their authority over school system affairs only as they vote to take action at an official meeting of the Board.
Current school board members and their contact information can be found here.
Board Meeting agendas are attached to the calendar entries found on this website.
Board Meeting Minutes are posted in a timely manner and can be found here.
Pursuant to TCA 39-17-306, the Board has a policy in place regarding Public Comment, Appeals to and Appearances before the Board.
Requests to address the Weakley County School Board during the Public Comment portion of the meeting must be provided in writing by following the instructions, completing, and returning the Request for Public Comment Form for a Board Meeting at least 24 hours prior to the School Board Meeting.
